    Resurgence: NatWest Youth Voices

This competition is designed to develop the public speaking skills of NatWest’s young talent and inspire future thought leaders within the bank. The competition is a first-of-its-kind within the bank and has been endorsed by Alison Rose.

The initial round of applications was extremely competitive and, after much deliberation by a panel of expert judges, 5 finalists have been selected. They have been busy preparing their talks with mentors across the business to develop both public speaking skills and content on a range of topics, from geothermal energy, diversity to behavioural science. Each finalist will deliver a 10-15 minute talk on their chosen topic, which must align with the theme of Resurgence:

“The world is facing unprecedented challenges environmentally, economically, politically and socially. We are balancing on a knife edge of great opportunity and great threats. So, what do you think, is it the end of the world or beginning or a new one? Our summit is looking for ambitious speakers with inspiring and innovative visions of a better future, and to shed light on some of our most pressing issues today.”

The 5 judges – Thom Kenrick, Alison Robb, Caroline Haas, Kristen Bennie & Graham Burnside – will choose the overall winner, which will be announced after the competition. We will also be joined by guest speaker Anna Fielding, who is an advisor, executive and thought leader on building a fairer, ethical economy and strategies for social and environmental justice.
